Bonjour Jolie - July 2014 (Honey, You and I Are Meant to Be!)

"For July, we celebrate the maker of exquisite honey, the humble honey bee!"

This is probably one of my favorite Bonjour Jolie boxes so far, and I've been a subscriber for over a year!  This month is all about the honey bee.

Bonjour Jolie is a monthly, period subscription box where you will receive a choice of tampons/pads, a gift, pampering items, and edible items!  The box is $16 + $5 for shipping & handling.  They also ship internationally, but shipping is more ($10 for Canada, and $16 for the rest of the world.)  You can also get a one-time box for $20, and there is also an option to get the box without feminine protection for only $10!  This is one of my favorite subscriptions so I highly recommend it, and they also have great customer service!  Sign up here!!

Here is this month's box...

July 2014 Bonjour Jolie Box

One of the things I love about this box is the packaging.  It's different from month to month and it feels like I'm opening a present!

The Gift...

Bee and Amber Honey Drop Necklace ($24) - I absolutely love this item!  This is a handmade necklace with an antiqued brass bee and an amber topaz.  The chain is super long, which I love.  This came from an Etsy store called "Le Chaim," and there are a lot of beautiful pieces for sale including this one!

The Pampering...

Sparkling Organic Honeycomb Soap ($3) - This handmade soap is made with real honey and 24k Gold Mica!  It's hard to tell from the picture, but it really does sparkle.

Honey Infusion Lotion Bar ($3) - This is a handmade lotion bar made with honey, beeswax, and organic oils.  All you have to do is rub it in your hands so it slightly melts.  This requires no water!

Honey Almond Bath Oil Beads ($5) - These beads are filled with premium natural oils to soften skin.  I love bath products and I have so many of them, so I need to start taking more baths!

Organic Honey Vanilla Lip Balm ($5) - I love lip balms, especially the ones that Bonjour Jolie makes, so I was so happy to be getting another one!  You can never have too many =).

The Edibles...

Betterbee Sweet Honey Candy ($1.50) - These delicious candies are made with real honey and come in flavors such as: Honey, Honey Lemon, Apple, and Pomegranate!

Joyva Honey Sesame Crunch ($1) - This was actually a 3,000 year old recipe that was tweaked in 1907.  I've never heard of these, but I've had a couple and they are so, so good!  No wonder the recipe has been around forever!

Glorybee Flavored Honey Sticks ($1) - I love putting honey in my tea, especially when I fill under-the-weather.  These honey sticks come infused orange, watermelon, and peach flavors.  I can't wait to try these!

Nature Valley Granola Bar ($1) - I've had these granola bars before and they make an excellent snack!

Davidson's Honey Tea ($1.60) - All these teas are made with a bit of honey in each bag.

In every box, subscribers will also get a couple of packets of Advil and feminine wipes as well.  My most favorite items in this box have to be the necklace (obviously!), and the honeycomb soap!  I can't wait to see what's in store for August!

These are custom bracelets, and are all connected underneath.  It's a little big even with the adjustable chain, but that's to be expected when you have as tiny wrists as I do!  They're are very cute, though!

The Pampering

I was so excited to see Philosophy products in this box!!  I received all samples sizes of:  Celebrate Dreams Body Bar, Celebrate Life Facial Bar, Celebrate Dreams Shower Gel, and Be Somebody Body Lotion.  You can find this brand at several locations, and I usually get it from Sephora.  I can't wait to use these!

The Edibles

One of the best parts of this box is receiving food!  Like always, I eat most of it as soon as I open the box!  The cookies and the York Peppermint Patties are already gone =)  They always send tea and I'm to get more because I was running low.

Another great box from Bonjour Jolie, and it continues to be one of my favorite boxes.  Other things that are included every month are two packets of Advil and feminine wipes.   I can't wait for June's box!

This is an obvious St. Patricks Day/Irish themed box!  I love the packaging, per usual.  First up, we have...

The Edibles

Oatfield Irish Butter Toffee - I'm not a huge toffee fan, but I will give these a try! ($1)

Oatfield Chocolate Peppermints -  There's really nothing better than chocolate and mint together, in my opinion.  The outside is a hard peppermint, while the inside is chocolate! ($1)

The Oatfield Sweetshop is the oldest confectionary shop in Ireland!

Bewely's Tea Company Caramelized Tea Biscuits - These are supposedly good to drink with tea, but I wouldn't know because I have already ate them...by themselves!  I love cookies like this! ($1)

The Gift

The Gift

Silver Shamrock and Shell Bracelet - This bracelet is adorable!  I would wear this other times during the year besides March.  The charms are really tiny and very cute.  It comes with a four leaf clover charm and a green shell.  Mine is a little chipped at the edge, but it's not a big deal. ($14)

The Pampering

The Pampering

The Blarney Stone Farm Castle Soap - This soap is made and doesn't seem to have much of a scent.  I run out of hand soap fairly quick so this is nice to have. ($2)

Basic Earth Botanicals Massage Bar - I don't typically use shower bars, but I'm excited to try this.  It has a very nice scent to it.  It's made with Eucalyptus and Lemon Myrtle. ($2)

Also, Feminine wipes and Advil are included, like always.

Everything in this box has been imported from Ireland, except for the massage bar and the bracelet.  I'm always impressed with how they package these boxes and have yet to be disappointed!  Can't wait for April!

Bonjour Jolie - December 2013 ('Tis The Season)

This month's Bonjour Jolie theme is 'Tis The Season.  Bonjour Jolie is a period box where they send you with your choice in pads, tampons, etc up to the amount of 25.  The boxes also come with items such as snacks, teas or other drinks, beauty products, and a special gift!  This is one of my favorite subscription box services.   It only costs $16/month plus shipping.  Subscribers don't have accounts, but if you need to ask or a question or anything, their customer service is amazing!

December 2013 Bonjour Jolie box

I love how everything is packaged this month.  It's so festive! I'm going out of town on Monday, the 23rd, and was worried I wasn't going to get my box in time for Christmas!  Thankfully, it showed up today.

The Gift - $16

The gift this month is a Silver Snowflake Jingle Bells Bracelet.  At first I thought that this could be something cute I could wear Christmas day until I put it on...

This bracelet is huge on me, but I'm not surprised because I have abnormally small wrists.  That's why I don't typically wear bracelets like this.  It very easily can slip off.  It is really cute though, and it really jingles!  I'm hoping  I can figure out how to wear this.

The Edibles

The Edibles
SteenLand Chocolate Snowflake Coins - This is made by a chocolatier in the Netherlands.  Chocolate coins have been traditionally given at Christmas and Hanukkah since 270 AD! These are good and I'm so happy to be getting chocolate!

Sweet Dreams Hot Cocoa Mix - I got two packets of cocoa mix in Dark Chocolate and Cinnamon.  I just love hot chocolate.  I'm not a coffee person, so this is what I usually drink, besides tea.  I can't wait to try this!

Ghirardelli Chocolates - More chocolate!  I received two chocolates in Milk and White Chocolate, Peppermint Bark, and Peppermint Bark with Dark Chocolate.  These are already gone!  I especially love chocolate and mint together.

A couple of mints were also included.

The Pampering

The Pampering

Peppermint Lip Balm ($4) - Bonjour Jolie has started to make their own lip balms and is made with mostly organic ingredients.  It is a lightly scented lip balm, which is nice, and it's also very moisturizing.

Vanilla Sugar Scrub Lip Treatment ($4) - This lip scrub has also been made by Bonjour Jolie.  I tried it out, but I didn't get any exfoliation whatsoever.  It smells nice, but I it didn't do anything other than moisturize.  Sugar is listed on the side of the tube as one of the ingredients.  I will try it again because maybe there wasn't any sugar in the product on the surface.  If all else fails, I have another lip balm.  I can always use one more!

Crocheted Face Scrubby by Sam's Crochet - This is handmade with 100% cotton. These are used to exfoliate your face or to remove eye makeup.  I'm taking this thing with me on my trip!

Gingerbread Scented Candles - Bonjour Jolie also designed these candles for the Holidays!  These do really smell like gingerbread and I'm going to start burning these ASAP!

Summer's Eve Feminine Wipes - These are perfect to carry around in my purse!

Also included were two packets of Advil.

I'm very pleased with this month's Bonjour Jolie box, as always.  I loved the packaging and that makes everything much more exciting in my opinion!  I can't wait to see what comes in January's box!

Bonjour Jolie: Honoring the Feminine - August 2013

Bonjour Jolie is a time of the month subscription box and is a fairly new, mother-daughter company.  This is my second box.  The August box features all women owned businesses.  All boxes are $16/month plus $5 shipping.  They also ship to Canada and Internationally, but shipping costs are more.

I love this subscription because not only can you get pretty much any type of pad, liner, and tampon brand, but you will also receive a gift, edible treats, and beauty items!  Not to mention everything is presented so nicely! You can choose any number of pads, liners or tampons out of the allotted 25.

August 2013 Bonjour Jolie
The Gift
This month's gift is a silver and stone bracelet.  These bracelets are handmade by women in Peru, and made with alpaca silver and precious stones such as: black onyx, lapis lazuli, mahogany obsidian, Andean pink opal, rose quartz, tiger's eye, and turquoise.  This bracelet is so pretty, and I can't wait to wear it!

The Edibles
I got 2 Leccare Lollipops in Peach Cobbler and Apples & Honey.  These are handmade and created with simple ingredients like sugar, filtered water, flavors and spices.  I've only had the Peach Cobbler flavor and it was really good.

Also included was 5 bags of tea from the Just Add Honey Tea Company.  This company is located in Tucker, Georgia and each bag of tea is handblended.  I got the flavors: "Wild Blueberry," "Georgia Peaches," two in "Berries!," and "Chocolate Delight." My family is from Georgia, I have lived there, and go there quite frequently, so I know these teas will be good!  Everything is better from the south when it comes to food items.

The Pampering
Next, I received a small sample of the Organic Herbal Hand Scrub from Beazers Garden, which also came with a coupon code.  Made in New York, it is made with essential oils, Demerara, Turbinado, and herbs.  I love scrubs, of any kind!

I got two packets of the Happy Hands Lotion from the Happy Hands Store, in scents of  "Rose Petals" and "Sandia Sage & Lavender."  These lotions are made with natural essential oils and mineral oil.  No parabens, thankfully.  These will come in handy since I have dry hands quite frequently.

Scaredy Cat Mineral Eye Shadow is the next beauty item by Scaredy Cat Cosmetics.  It is cruelty-free and contains no parabens, fillers, fragrances, talc, and bismuth.  I got it in the color in "Cirrina," and comes in a sample size, but what they call a "Trial Vial."  This color is so pretty and I think I will purchase more sample sizes from their Etsy shop.

Scaredy Cat Mineral Eye Shadow in Cirrina
I also received Herbal Bath Salts from the Barefoot Apothecary.  I got Detoxify in "Juniper Cedar."  I haven't used bath salts in a long time and looking forward to see how these work.  It does smell really good and these bath salts are made to be clarifying, healing, and rejuvenating.  Sounds very relaxing.

Finally, I got Sensibles Sanitary Bags by Scensibles Bags, which are for throwing away your tampons in.  These are perfect to put into my purse.  They have a really nice scent too!

Also, you get sample packets of Advil in your box.  I decided to not mention or show a picture of the pads and tampons I received, since that is not the exciting part LOL!

I highly recommend this subscription!  I can't wait for September's box.
