April 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag Sneak Peeks!

I totally forgot that an Ipsy sneak peek was coming out today!  Hopefully this first one isn't an April Fools Day joke...

Sneak Peek #1

Bring out the velvet ropes and bust out your makeup melody for this awesome rock star product in your Glam Bag this month!

This looks like an Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in a new color called Black Velvet. It will probably in a deluxe-size sample, and hopefully each subscriber will be getting one.  Perfect for traveling!

UPDATE: APRIL 2ND

Sneak Peek #2

Life is a stage and your lips are at the center. Let one of these fabulous lip products take the lead!

This next sneak peek shows that everyone will get one of these lip products in their bags.  There are two different shades of Cailyn Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm, Starlooks Longwear Lip Pencil, and Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Gloss.

Starlooks Longwear Lip Pencil

Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Gloss

I honestly have no preference; I would be happy with any of these in my bag.

Sneak Peek #3

Hey DJ! Your beauty routine deserves a fabulous remix and one of these awesome beauty finds will help you scratch that!

Everyone will be getting one of these products in their bag.  They are: City Color Cosmetics White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse,  Rainbow Honey nail polish in Midnight Fountain, and Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow.

Tune up your beauty routine this music festival season with one of these amazing products!

In this next sneak peek, again everyone will receive one of the products pictured, which look to be: Benefit Cosmetics lollitint, dr. brandt microdermabrasion, St. Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Anti-aging Multi-action face, and Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-acne treatment.

Le Metier de Beaute VIP - March 2014

Le Metier de Beaute VIP is a prepaid beauty subscription box that was on sale last July.  This subscription isn't available for purchase at the moment, but I believe that it will be on sale again in the summer.

This subscription came down to $29/month.  For the month of March, we received two items.

March 2014 Le Metier de Beaute VIP

Ultra Hydration Eye Mask Duo

1.  Ultra Hydration Eye Mask Due ($18.75) - This product is for a one-time use only.  I will be saving this for a special occasion.  These are suppose to be used on the under-eye area and suppose to recover dehydrated cells and boost the skin's ability to retain moisture.  This product is perfect during these winter  months, but my under-eye area isn't dehydrated at the moment.

Peau Vierge Correcteur

2.  Peau Vierge Correcteur Concealer in Medium ($95) - This concealer has the anti-aging ingredient, retinol in it.  Normally I can't use much retinol without it irritating my skin, but since I don't wear makeup often, it works fine.  The only problem is that it's a bit too dark for my skin color, and I thought they weren't going to send out products that had to do with skin tones.  I was able to still use it by putting it under my eyes first and then layering a lighter concealer on top.  This worked perfectly and my under-eye skin looked much smoother than normal so this is definitely a product I will continue to use!

This month's box has a total of $113.75!! I'm always impressed with how much we get for what we paid for initially!

Le Metier de Beaute - October 2013

Le Metier de Beaute is a subscription box where you had to pay for the entire year up front (which comes out to $29/month.)  Subscriptions are closed and won't open up again until next July, I presume.

October 2013 Le Metier De Beaute

This month's Le Metier de Beaute box contained only one product, the Peau Vierge Complexion Serum & Dark Spot Corrector, but that's because the value of this is $125!  This came at the perfect time because I have been looking for a product like this.

This is a 4 in 1 complexion serum that's suppose to help minimize acne and T-Zone pores, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, rebuild skins appearance, and correct dark spots, uneven skin tones, and scarring.

I have just started using this every other night like suggested.  I'm very happy to be trying out this product, and I hope I see some results soon.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Cleansing Foam

I'm really looking forward to both of these items, and can't wait to see what else we are getting!  The box only costs $49.99/season, and you can still sign up to get the Fall box!!!

Bonjour Jolie: Go Vegan! - September 2013

This month's theme is "Go Vegan!," which means all products are vegan.  Bonjour Jolie has easily become one of my favorite subscription boxes!  It is a time of the month box that costs $16/month + shipping.

September 2013 Bonjour Jolie

I love how everything is packaged so nicely each month!

The Gift...

Personalized Silver Necklace

The first item is a Personalized Silver Necklace.  This is my favorite from this box!  Each necklace comes with your first initial stamped into metal, a handmade murano glass bead, and a sterling silver bead.  No two are alike! I also love how the chain is pretty long too! I love, love, love this!!!!

Value - $16

The Edibles...

Tea and Gourmellow

I received five bags from SerendipiTea Tea Company.  This tea company is run by women in New York. I also got an organic cotton reusable bag to put the tea leaves in.  So useful!  I got tea in flavors: Hibiscus, Secret Garden, Citralicious, and two bags of Once Upon a Tea (which I'm drinking now and it's so good.)

Value - $3.50

Next food item is a Gourmellow by Desiderio Chocolates.  As soon as I took this picture, I had to eat it. I'm obsessed with chocolate.  It is a vegan marshmallow truffle bar.  It is half marshmallow and half chocolate truffle.  This is so good! I need more =).

Value - $3.00

The Pampering...

Bronzer, Bath Tea, Advil, Lotion, Lip Balm, and Feminine Wipes

Next, I got Just Pure Minerals Bronzer and Brush.  I've never tried any vegan makeup before so this should be good!

Value - $1.50

U Just Relax Bath Tea is something I can't wait to try.  It sounds so relaxing.  All you have to do is place the bag into the tub or hang it in the shower for calming aromatherapy.  It also can be used 2-4 more times!

Value - $2.00

I got a small sample of Sunny Day Botanicles Organic Lotion.  It has a nice light scent with all natural ingredients.

Value - $2.00

Next up, is the PuurBody Full Size Vegan Lip Balm.  This is handcrafted by a stay-at-home Mom! This has been made exclusively to Bonjour Jolie.  I got it in the scent Sweet Vanilla.  It smells so good and it's very moisturizing.

Value - $3.50

Lastly, I got two packets of Always Radiant Feminine Wipes.  These are very useful and going into my purse.

Value - $.50

Of course I also got pads, tampons, and Advil (pictured above.)

Total Value - $32 (minus value of Advil and tampons/pads)

I love this box!! I can't wait for October's box, and I hope we get more chocolate!!!  Sign up here!!!

Birchbox: Heritage - September 2013

This month was the Anniversary of Birchbox and each box contained a polish by Ruffian.

September 2013 Birchbox

This month I received...

CC Cream, Moisturizer, and Facial Towelettes

1.  Yes To Grapefruit CC Cream - I do like Yes To products, but I don't need another CC Cream.  So sick of getting these samples, but at least this won't go to waste.

2.  Mereadesso All-In-One Moisturizer - There is a pretty good amount of this product considering it's in a foil packet.  I will definitely try this out.

3.  Yes To Blueberries Cleansing Facial Towelettes - Another Yes To product, and this is a good one.  I love cleansing facial towelettes and can never have too many.  This is perfect for the next time I travel.

Lip Gloss and Nail Polish

4.  Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss - I already got this from Sephora in the same exact size.  It came with two other deluxe samples.  I probably won't even use up the other one so I don't know what to do with this.

5.  RUFFIAN Nail Lacquer in Fox Hunt - I liked all the colors available, and this one too, but I initially wanted Hedge Fund.  This is still a pretty orange color for fall though.

Even though the majority of these items will be used, I'm still contemplating canceling Birchbox.  Yes, it is only $10/month, but it's not exciting or as fun as other subscriptions.  I don't look forward to it like I do with other subscriptions.  Plus, I can take that $10 and apply it to another box that I would want more.   I'm giving it another month.

Ipsy Glam Bag: Classic Beauty - September 2013

This month's Ipsy bag theme is Classic Beauty.  The purpose of these items are for creating classic looks.  Ipsy is a beauty subscription service, and it only costs $10/month.

September 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag
At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like the pattern on the bag, but I like it better once seeing it in person.

Freeman Beauty Paper Masks

First, I received three Freeman Beauty Paper Masks in A La Rose, Blue Agave, and Star Fruit.  I do like masks and happy to get these.

Value - $5.97

Cailyn Cosmetics Lip Balm, Starlooks Eye Pencil, NYX Eye Shadow, and Elizabeth Mott Mascara

Cailyn Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm in Big Apple - I do like the color of the tinted lip balm.  It is a very nice, pretty red and very pigmented.  I think the name is misleading because it's more like a lipstick.

Value - $19

Starlooks Obsidian Kohl Eye Pencil - I don't need another black eyeliner, and would of liked to have a different color.  I have way too many blacks and it takes me forever to use one up.

Value - $12

NYX Single Eye Shadow in Charcoal - I'm not sure how often I will use this eye shadow, but at least I got a color that can be used more often.  Even though I would of liked to get a fun color.

Value - $4.50

Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara - I can always use more mascara, but I have a ton already and I got mascara in lasts month's bag.

Value - $8

Swatches...

Lip Balm, Eye Shadow, and Eyeliner

I wasn't that excited for this month's bag.  The masks were definitely my favorite item, and I know they will get used.  My next favorite item is the lip balm even though it's not something I think I will use often.

My bag did have an overall value of $49.47, which is great for only costing $10/month.  Sign up here!! Can't wait for October!

Fortune Cookie Soap Box - Fall 2013

I am so happy I signed up for this box!  Everything smells sooooo good!!  The Fortune Cookie Soap Box is a quarterly box that costs $19.99.

The Fall box is not available, but you can sign up for the Winter box which is a "Nightmare Before Christmas" themed box that starts shipping November 15th.  I'm not a fan, but this still sounds like fun!  Sign up before they sell out!!!

Fall 2013 Soap Box

This is what came in the box...

"Pick of the Patch" Personal Space

1.  "Pick of the Patch" Personal Space - This is an Air Freshener that smells like pumpkins.  It really does freshen up a room quite well.

"<Insert Cookie Cutter Name Here>" Bath Oil

2.  "<Insert Cookie Cutter Name Here>" Bath Oil - Oil for your bath.  Smells like cookies and vanilla. Yummy.

"You're Insecure, Donut What For..." #fall Milk Bath

3.  "You're Insecure, Donut What For..." #fall Milk Bath - Smells like cinnamon sugar donuts.  I have got to start taking more baths...

"'I Yam What I Yam, ' said the Marshmallow" Whipped Cream

4.  "'I Yam What I Yam', said the Marshmallow" Whipped Cream - This is body butter infused with scents of yams, pumpkin pie, and marshmallows.

"Leeeaaf Piiiile" Bath Fizzy

5.  "Leeeaaf Piiiile" Bath Fizzy - Mini bath bomb with notes of acorns and apples.

"Cranberry + Apple = FTW" Wax Tart

6.  "Cranberry + Apple = FTW" Wax Tart - Similar to a candle with no wick, you place it on some sort of warming device I think.  I don't have anything like that, so I have to figure out how I can use this.

"Autumn Daze" Fortune Cookie Soap

7.  "Autumn Daze" Fortune Cookie Soap - This is so cute.  I don't want to use it, LOL.  This is infused with apple, cardamom, and pecan.  There are little leaves inside the soap and it comes with a fortune.  Mine says, " Hard work never killed anyone, but why risk it?"

"Indian Summer" OCD Hand Sanitizer

8.  "Indian Summer" OCD Hand Sanitizer -  There are scents of blueberries, woods, and musk.  I'm not a big hand sanitizer user, but this smells so good I definitely will be using this.  I know that using a lot of it is actually really bad for you, as some people are addicted to it.  This is going straight into my purse.

I am very pleased with this box.  It also comes with a $10 off coupon on a future order that I will probably use sometime soon.

2.  Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Fuchsia Flirt - This was Sara Strand's (Creative Director for Pop Beauty) pick for this month.  It's a really pretty bright pink color.  This was featured in July's Ipsy, but thankfully I didn't receive this shade.  This only comes in a set.

Value (full size!) - $4.17

Fuchsia Flirt Swatch

Brad Biophotonic, Alterna, and Amlactin

3.  Brad Biophotonic Skin Care Ultra Peel - This is suppose to treat brown spots for an even skin tone.  It is a leave-on peel.  I definitely need this since I have old dark spots caused by acne.  Fun.   The full size product is very expensive ($175.)

Value (sample) - $25.74

4.  Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Dry Shampoo -  Dry shampoo is always good to have.  I will keep this to take with me the next time I travel.

Value (sample) - $.83

5.  Amlactin Triple Action Alpha-Hydroxy Therapy Foot Cream - This is suppose to get rid of dead skin cells and smooth feet.  I was just looking for something like this the other day, funny.

Value (full size!) - $10

Prussian
6.  LVX Nail Lacquer - I haven't tried this brand yet, but I heard it's a good one.  I got the color Prussian, and people will receive one of six shades.  I'm really loving this color!

Value (full size!) - $16

Racinne Deluxe Travel Set

7.  Racinne Deluxe Travel Set - This set contains four products to help reduce signs of aging.  I haven't heard of this brand before, but I am looking forward to trying these products out.

Value - $73.71

I'm so happy with this month's box and will use all of these products!  I came up with a total of $137.13!!! I love getting way more than what the products are worth!
